I think that when I’m done painting the Thief of Hearts miniature, I’ll hold onto it for a while, and maybe enter it into a competition, if I can attend an event where it qualifies, and then I’ll auction it off for charity, to benefit the Paul Stefan Foundation.
Paul Stefan Foundation is a local charity in my county that provides transitional housing and support to pregnant homeless and abandoned women who do not want to abort their babies. (Some of these women become homeless because their families kick them out when they learn of the pregnancy.) Many of the babies born there go on to be adopted, and others stay with their moms after Paul Stefan Home helps them find employment, child care, and permanent housing.
My husband Dave and I believe that human life is sacred, but we understand the difficulties that women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy often face. That is why charities like this are so crucial. They give these women a real choice when they may otherwise feel that abortion is their only option. Dave and I have been supporting Paul Stefan Foundation since its founding, both with financial contributions, and with prayer.
If any of my blog readers are interested, I encourage you to follow the link above to Paul Stefan Foundation’s website to learn more about them and the great work they do.
