Well, I’ve finished painting the tartan pattern, although now you can’t see the nice highlights on the red anymore. I’ve also touched up the face and the leather jacket, thanks to some advice from shanerozzell on WAMP. I used white to clean up the highlights, then several glazes of Reaper’s Brown Liner to give it a more leathery look. Derek Schubert is a big advocate of Brown Liner for painting black. I’ve owned a bottle for months, but this was the first time I tried it out. I wish now that I’d done so sooner!
The leather jacket is pretty much the only part of this mini that I’m really happy with. I’ll keep working on the rest, but I’ve decided to push for wrapping this up in the next week or so instead of killing myself to get it perfect.
